                                               2024-2025 WINTER HAPPENINGS AND ADVENTURES

Since return in October to the Lonestar Corral. We have been enjoying our home park, being involved in activities, and operations of the park.

But we've had a couple of adventures. We spent Thanksgiving at Corpus Christi Lake State Park, with our good friends Mike & Janice. Hiking the park trails and having a great meal together. Going to Mustang Island and walking the beach. And have some great sea food.

For Christmas time we went to Ponca City, Ok. Our Granddaughter and Husband from Atlanta were to be home. We had not seen them for 2 years. On our way we stop to see grandson Keegan and his parents in Temple, Tx. to congratulate him on his acceptance to the US Merchant Marines Academy in New York. He graduates May 31st, 2025, and reports for basic training July 4th, 2025.

Keegan, acceptances letter.

As we traveled on, we then stopped and spent the night with our friends Dale & Pauline Ditto, near Choctaw, Ok. then on to Wichita, Ks to see Ronda's bother and his family. we had them, 12 total in our motorhome for a meal and wonderful time together. then to Ponca City, OK. to see grandkids.

Great time with Matt, Mary and Bekah also Julian who's taking picture.

After our time in Ponca City seeing family, it was time to get back to Hondo, Tx.
To get ready to meet my sisters and a brother-in-law in San Antonio, Tx. for NEW YEARS. 5th year doing this with my sister and husband Wayne and this year my sister Connie joined us. This was a very fun time.

Looking forward to next NEW YEARS to do it again.

Then January 13th we went to Temple to attend the school Board meeting. Where Keegan was recognized for his accomplishments and acceptance to USMMA.

The 20th of January we return to San Antonio Riverwalk for 4 nights for our 54th anniversary. Mike and Janice joined us on anniversary for lunch Schilo's German restaurant.

It was cold while there, the least amount of people I've ever seen on the walk.

The last day of January, Keegan's tennis season started. Playing mixed doubles.

Stayed the week at Mike's warehouse to help him. Until the next tennis tournament. but something else worked out. His high school Athletics Department held a National Signing Day. they had 11 that are going to play college sports.

Really special evening.

We had 2 more weeks of tennis before they had a month off. And now that's where we are headed now is to a tennis tournament. Then on to Kansas for semiannual transplant check-up.

This was his last mixed doubles tournament
they took 1st place. He is back to playing single the rest of the season.

Three more tournaments then districts and regionals. Hoping for state.
Then graduate and off to the academy.

Not sure what this summer adventures will be but will be back to let you know.

As always thank you for reading and hope you're enjoying the tale.
