A FEW MONTHS IN TEXAS

Well it has been a great winter and spring. As said at the end of last year's summer and fall travels, that we arrived at our spot for the winter in Hondo Texas.  Said we would do some travels to see kids and grandkids and we did.

When looking at our winter and spring plans. Which included trips on a weekly basis to watch Grandson play tennis anywhere between Waco to Austin. We decided to purchase a teardrop trailer that our Maverick pickup could pull to run to these weekly adventures. Which we did make all but 2 tournaments.

Silver and Little Bit

We also did a couple trips in the Motorhome. One to Ponca City Ok. to watch Grandson Matthew's Orchestra concert.
Matthew playing the Cello.

We had purchased the teardrop in Georgetown. When we went to pick it up we took it on to Temple to see grandson on his 16th Birthday.
His cake was 4 different flavors.

He had been to Burger King with his friends.

As said we were able to make to most of Keegan's tennis tournaments.
 First place Waco.

We had lots of happenings at the Alamo Area SKP Co-op.
From meals ( which there is always food) to a sock hop.
Even a three day eclipse event.

Sock Hop fun.
Our ride to the sock hop.

We had lots of happenings at the eclipse event. But for 3 day we had lots of different games.
I took 3rd in the pool tournament.

Ronda and her partner Janice took second in the walker races.

As this was the end of the season at our winter park. It was time to get ready to head out for our summer ADVENTURES.

We still had district and regional tennis tournaments to go, and our son Mike needed some help at his shop.
We decided to go ahead and leave for the summer. So on the 22nd of April we left the park.

We went to the district tournament in Waco. Keegan took second and advanced to regionals, which he was eliminated on this first day.

For the week and a half between tournaments we stayed at our son's shop in Jarrell Tx. to help him with repairs in his shop. After regionals headed out  for Kansas for an annual transplant check up and see family in Wichita. Then to Ponca City, Ok. for our Granddaughter Mary's graduation from High School.

These were at her graduation party.

Yesterday May 28th we left Ponca City, Ok. to start our summer adventures.
We know where we are heading but those adventures are for another post.

But to give you a hint of our adventures. We will be walking and shopping. Maybe some buying. As required in tourist towns.

Hope you enjoyed hearing about our winter adventures.

Again thank you for reading and I hope you're enjoying reading the tale.

Let Summer adventures 2024 begin.
Hint of one adventure.
