The story starts

Duttons on the road started in August of 2013. This after 25 years of Dean having ESRD and Dr. said it would be best for him to stop working. Hoping  

that would help slow the progression of the disease.

There were lots of things that happen prior to this that made this possible. Nine mouths before we were in Califorina for our grandson Keegans 5th Brithday.  We had been looking at Motorhomes at home in Kansas. We went with Keegan to piano lessons and across the street was Holland Motorhomes. Found one we liked but a  little more then what we wanted to spend. Went back to Keegans house for the night. Was not able to stop thinking about that motorhome.  So after a great bit of Talking and Praying we went back and made an offer and with one counter offer we now owned a motorhome. It needed a couple things fixed and we had to fly back home. We then made plans to return for Thanksgiving that year to pick up motorhome. 

After a week on the road back home. I (Dean) really enjoyed traveling this way. Ronda was maybe starting to think it might be okay. After being home a month and talking

and praying again we desided to put the house we built on the market. Homes in the area were taking a year or 2 to sell. This was kind of in our plan. But this is big, but the house sold in less then 2 mouths.

So moved in to motorhome. Parked at my Moms house which had hookups from April to August 2013. When I stopped working  and started to work on getting ready to hit the road.

Another thing that God had taken care ( ok if you haven't see his hand in this look closer) at work an insurance man came to office with a disability benefit insurance that I didn"t have to qualify  medically for. This paid benfits for 6 months. Which was more then enough time for ss disability to be approved for ESRD. This made it possible for us to start this new adventure. As I continue to tell this store you will see God in everything that happens.

As we started out we didn't know how it would work. So thinking we couldn"t do this without working at something that I could do without too much physical labor. We headed to west Texas to be gate guards in the oil field .  This was a 24-7 job which we did for three mouths.
