While at Big Bend we decided that we would go to Bandera Tx. for a month until time to go back to Kansas to see Dr for kidney check up. Which had stayed the same. In the month we had spent in Bandera we found a campground job in Trinidad California for the summer of 2014. Also we sold the dollie and set the pickup to flat tow with tow bar.
While in Bandera enjoyed the local events which are many. One was the Mardi Gras parade which was interesting and it snowed during the parade. Also attended the First Baptist Church of Bandera. We try to find a local Church to attend wherever we are staying.
After the month in Bandera we returned to Kansas to see Drs and family. Then we head west to see our Son and family in San Diego county Ca. Then north to the redwoods. The park we worked at was Emerald Forest rv park. Each site has large redwood trees. There was a rough start but as most things this also passed and we had a wonderful summer. We were able to visit so many places, Avenue of the giants, Redwood National park, Fern Canyon and lots of beautiful scenic drives.
After towing the pickup that far and the price of gas in California. We traded the pickup for a Ford Fiesta stick shift. Installed the base plate on it to tow in our rv site at the park. It towed much easier and site seeing didn't cost near as much. As you can tell we are still new at this Motorhoming. But we were learning. (the hard way again)
Picture taken along Hwy 299 near Willow Springs,CA.When job was over in Sept. we head back to southern Ca. As we had a job with the San Diego county parks. Which was a long ways from our sons house. As we arrived the people that had been working this park had decided to stay. (God) We called the county office to see what was happening . They had us wait . They called back with different location. Now here is the thing, this is within 15 minutes from our 7 yr old grandson. Did you see him?
Lots of soccerThis was the best 6 months. Soccer games on Saturdays. Sunday breakfast. Him coming to Grandpas park as he called it. This was a day use park in Fallbrook,Ca. Then the bonus was we were there for Christmas morning that year.

Something that happened while we were that close. Our Son Mike and His Wife Holly both worked and had to call on someone to get Keegan if he got sick at school. Which they said had not happened but a couple times. Well this changed while we were there. Keegan had several times that he was sick and needed to be picked up,( was he always sick or just needed to visit Grandpas park)
